Saying that you need to prioritise your health and well being is much easier said than done! January has been such a busy month for me, in fact its almost over..can you believe it? and I haven’t made it to the gym once. I know thats terrible especially since It’s something I’ve been trying to work on, but its not all bad. I’ve been back in the pool once a week which feels so good and I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things properly.
We all go through times where we have very little free time so I guess it’s all about making the most of each opportunity but also not being too hard on yourself if you let your usual routine slip over a couple of weeks. After all you’re only human!
Between working 50+ hours a week during January, attempting to get some blogging done, catching up with friends, and trying to look for a place to live, I feel like I have had no time for exercise and to tell you the truth I feel terrible for it! As much as I like to sit down and chill if I can, I really should be getting my workouts in as they are key to keeping my mind, as well as my body, alert and healthy. So I have set myself small but ACHIEVABLE fitness aims for this past month:
commit to swimming once a week
do one yoga session a week
get in a home workout once a week
I’m not going to lie, most of the time I’ve only been managing 2 out of 3 but you know what thats better than nothing. I’m trying not to beat myself up about it but roll on February when I will be aiming to be more consistent with my workouts.
